Unwanted Christmas Gifts

Do You Wish to Donate Your Unwanted Christmas Gifts?

We will take in your unwanted Chrismtas gifts and will pass them to Crosscare who will redistribute them this time next year to people living in their homeless services. These gifts may be left at the foot of our Christmas tree during the coming week until Monday 8th January.

For more details of a similar venture see the Dublin diocesan website.

Advent Calendar 2017

Advent Calendar:

The first day of Advent heralds the beginning of the Catholic Church’s new year.  Advent (from ‘ad-venire’ in Latin or “to come to”) is the Church season encompassing the four Sundays and weekdays leading up to the celebration of Christmas.  Advent is a time of spiritual preparation for the Lord’s coming at Christmas.  Advent also prepares us for the second coming of Christ at the end of time.

We are delighted to be bringing you our online Advent Calendar again this year.  It will go live on the First Sunday of Advent on 3 December 2017.  This year’s Advent Calendar will have a special focus on family as we prepare together for next year’s World Meeting of Families in Dublin from 21 – 26 August.

Note: The virtual doors above cannot be opened ahead of their actual date.  This warning is for those enthusiasts who ‘can’t wait’.
