Friday 1st February is the feast of St Brigid, often referred to as the Mary of the Gaels. St. Brigid is a renowned Irish Saint who lived around the time of St. Patrick. Here is a typical St. Brigid’s Blessing.
Legend has it that the St. Brigid’s Cross was used by Brigid to explain the Christian Faith and it remains a popular sign of God’s protection.
