Ballygall Parish Pastoral Council is a team of parishioners and priests working together for the good of the parish. Parishioners are asked to volunteer themselves for a period of of three years and are then elected by the parish community to work towards building and strengthening our parish faith community.
To be part of our Parish Pastoral Council does not require any special qualifications. A strong belief and love of Jesus with a wish to share that faith is the priority. People usually have been involved in ministry and have some knowledge of parish life. The monthly meetings discuss the spiritual and faith needs of the parish. A spirit of prayer is central to the work of the group who always seek to guided by the teachings of Jesus.
The PPC work to keep the flame of faith burning in Ballygall. We encourage parishioners to use their various gifts and talents for ministry and service in the parish.
We listen to what our parishioners have to say. We ensure that generations and genders are involved and included. We keep ourselves informed and up to date with current happenings in church life. We look at and develop church policies.
We keep Child Safeguarding and Protection on our agenda each month. We always seek relevant ways of communicating the Gospel message of Jesus through our sacraments and liturgies.
Most of all we are committed to work together so that every person may find in Ballygall Parish an experience of acceptance and welcome that is represntative of the love of God for all his people.
Ballygall PPC cooperates with the Parish Pastoral Councils of the other parishes in the Glasnevin Grouping.
