The Legion of Mary will have their annual pilgrimage to Knock on Sunday 27th September. The cost is €55 and there will be a bus leaving our church at 08.10.

Our Lady of Victories 6pm Mass will resume on Sunday 6th September.
Our Senior Choir will resume on Sunday 6th September. New members are always welcome. They practice on Wednesdays at 7pm if you want to pop in for a chat with them.

St Mary’s Cathedral will close temporarily from August 17 to allow essential conservation, accessibility and renewal works as part of the next phase in its development as the Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Dublin.
Following a competitive procurement process, a “Letter of Intent” has been signed with the main contractor. The construction budget is 17 million euro (excl. VAT). Planning permission was received from Dublin City Council last October.
During the closure period, major diocesan liturgies will take place in St Andrew’s Church, Westland Row. The Palestrina Choir will be based at the College Chapel on the All Hallows Campus of DCU, by kind permission of the University. Parish and sacramental life will continue at St Joseph’s Church, Berkeley Road, where the Cathedral Girls’ Choir will also be based.
As we enter the August holiday season, we would like to advise that our weekly Monday Lay Led Prayer will take a seasonal break.

This Sunday, July 26, is the Sixth World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly. Grandparents and the Elderly are the backbone of every parish. They are people deeply committed to their faith and to the mission of the Church. The Council for Marriage and the Family is encouraging as many parishes as possible to celebrate World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly this year. This can be done very simply by having an older person lead us in God’s Word, using the Prayer of the Faithful from the Dicastery resources, having grandparents involved in the Offertory Procession and using the Prayer for the 6th World Day as a Post Communion Reflection.
The Glasnevin Grouping of Parishes will have their pilgrimage to Lourdes on 17th-21st August, accompanied by Fr. Kieran Dunne. The cost is €795 pps, staying in the 4* Hotel Eliseo. Please contact Marian Pilgrimages on 8788159 for more details.
