{"id":15755,"date":"2022-12-10T10:31:02","date_gmt":"2022-12-10T10:31:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ballygallparish.ie\/?p=15755"},"modified":"2022-12-10T10:31:02","modified_gmt":"2022-12-10T10:31:02","slug":"sacristan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ballygallparish.ie\/index.php\/2022\/12\/10\/sacristan\/","title":{"rendered":"Sacristan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our Mother of Divine Grace church, Ballygall is currently recruiting a Parish Sacristan.<\/p>\n<p>This role is offered initially on a one-year fixed term \/part time basis (approx 20 hours) <strong>including <\/strong>weekends.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Job Description<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ROLE<\/strong> The role is to provide a high level of support to the parish priest and parish team in the general running of the parish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DUTIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparing the altar for daily Masses and other Liturgical Services e.g., Weddings and Baptisms<\/li>\n<li>Opening and closing the church<\/li>\n<li>Ordering\/Administration \/stock control of altar supplies<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that the church is maintained to a high standard<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties that may arise<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Awareness and understanding of working within a parish environment with knowledge of the Catholic Church\/Liturgy. Experience in a similar role is desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Awareness of Fire and Health and Safety Regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KEY BEHAVIOURS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reliable with a flexible approach to working as part of a team and in relation to working hours<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills\/experience of dealing with the public and parishioners and respectful towards parishioners<\/li>\n<li>Sensitivity, confidentiality, and ability to take direction as appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Enthusiastic, motivated, and willing to undertake job related training e.g., Health and Safety Training etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NEXT STEPS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in this role and think it might be for you, please make your application to<\/p>\n<p>Fr.
