Diocesan Food Appeal for Crosscare

Again this year, Archbishop Martin has launched a Diocesan – Crosscare Food Appeal for non-perishable food and hygiene products. Types of food urgently needed include pasta / rice, fruit juice, tea / coffee, soup, sugar, powdered milk, tinned meat/ fish, tinned veg/fruit, packaged desserts, biscuits and hygiene products. Giving food Sunday 3rd & 4th December 2016.

Advent Wreath

The Advent Wreath is prepared and blessed on the first Sunday of Advent. This is a long standing custom in Europe. It is made from holly and evergreen leaves in the form of a circle with four candles representing each week. And one candle representing Christ. The circle reminds us of eternity which has no beginning or end. One candle is lit for each Sunday in Advent.

Ballygall Parish Pastoral Council
